Sept. 23 (TehranFlights) — Iran Air , Irans’ state airline, is going to continue its direct Tehran to Tokyo flight route
Spokesman of Iran Air, Reza Jafarzadeh, denied there were plans to cancel the Iran Air’s direct flights to Japan, after reports of a possible cancellation of flights from October 26.
Bloomberg recently reported that the flight route is cancelled due to recent losses from rising of fuel costsand some restriction on visa regulations for Iranian.
Iran Air also rejected the offer from Emirates air line to own this flight route.
Iran Air has been flying to tokyo twice a week with a Boeing SP-747s since 1974.
Iran Air had a $19 million loss last fiscal year. Iran Air’s Spokesman added Iran Air was never considering the sale of the route to make up for company deficits.
